Question & Summary

As you can see from the gif, that is pretty much what I'm doing in order to get as much information as possible for my creation of a Logo for Shakespeare Monologue Competition Club (which is amazing btw).  If you don't know what Shakespeare is, below is a gif of Leonardo Dicaprio from Romeo and Juliet <3.

okay enough looking at Leonardo--
Here are the 5 Questions I asked the teacher and the people in the Club.
1) Who established the club and what year did the club start?
2) What colors do you think represents the club?
3) Three words that you would describe Shakespeare Monologue Competition Club?
4) What is the Club's Mascot?
5) What is the main idea that the club seeks to teach or inform members?

From those questions I created a Summary of the Club below:

Summary

Shakespeare Monologue Competition Club is run by Maggie Geiger, an English teacher at Millennium Highschool who started the club roughly seven years ago. It is an extension of the English Speaking Union of New York, the club Ms. Geiger runs happens to be the Millennium Branch. Students will be participating in the 2015 English Speaking Union's annual Shakespeare Monologue Competition.  Through the competition, students are encouraged to develop their communication skills and an appreciation of the power of language and literature.  Students will compete within the school and then move onto the Manhattan and city-wide competitions in February.

....about teaching students about Shakespeare and his plays. On another level, it is about understanding the power and potential of language. On another level it is about taking risks, experimenting, succeeding and failing and gaining confidence. On another level it is about public speaking and performance" - Ms. Geiger
The mascot of the Club is none other than William Shakespeare himself.

Words that have been used to described the club range from experimental to fun. So for my logo I might be experimenting with different decorative typeface or even a script typeface to create a unique logo for the SMC Club. (Sorry but the name is so long to type!). One of the club members also mentioned a good color scheme for the logo might be red and gold but I think purple might be a good choice too because during Medieval times, purple was usually considered the color of royalty and person of power. Images I know I will be adding would most likely include Shakespeare cause he is the mascot of the Club but it could be changed to a script or to a image of a feathered pen to show the Monologue aspect of the Club.

Below is a concept board for ideas for the club.
